I could not be more happy with my experience here. Star the woman at the front desk was amazing. She was courteous, helpful, and accommodating. The room was what I expected. Nothing fancy, but very clean and comfy!! The grounds looked great, all tho the parking lot needs some attention! The location was perfect. I was in walking distance of everything I needed. Breakfast was your run of the mill hotel waffles. It still hit the spot! All in all I give Clarion Point an A. Thank you. I will be returning when the time comes!!
I've stayed here two times before and never had complaints. Not this time, unfortunately. I had booked the King Suite, but upon arrival, the suite was not clean (hairs all over the shower) and had a very strong smoke odor. It was so bad that even opening the door and having Anthony spray the curtains and furniture with cleaning spray did nothing. Clearly, someone had been smoking in that room for a while. We asked for a different suite, but that was not available, so we ended up in a smaller king room. The room was okay, the neighbors were unfortunately very loud at 2 am.
I asked upon check out to get a discount as we did not end up on the suite I paid for. The receptionist said that the manager would contact me. Unfortunately, they have not reached out yet. It's really a shame as my previous experiences have been very pleasant.
Stayed the night in EL after attending a cage fight at the Lansing Mall. The noise level here left a lot to be desired. The room was decent for the money, but you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms. Didn't sleep at all, even after the noise died down. Not sure if I'd stay here again. 😕
This was by far one of the worst experience I’ve had at an establishment. The room was extremely filthy, hair everywhere, mold in the shower, hair on the bathroom floor. Bugs all over, spiderwebs everywhere. The pillows were stained, yes every one of them and I slept without a pillow or a cover because of how disgusting it was. I called front desk and no housekeepers were available. Mind you this was during a storm and this was the ONLY option available to me. The front desk lady was very nice and told me to call during the week to speak with the manager so I can get a refund. Of course I didn’t get a call back until I called them for maybe the 20th time TODAY and spoke with the manager just for him to tell me they hadn’t heard anything about my experience. No refund no nothing, basically just told me to go eff myself because of their poor effort in making things right with a customer.
(See update at end) I checked in late and in my tired state returned my credit card to my wallet but didn't realize that my drivers license hadn't been returned. A few days later, I called the motel and told them. They said they had it and my son who is a student at MSU could pick it up. When he went to pick it up, he saw they had a drawer of credit cards and IDs, but they wouldn't give him mine. I called multiple times to have them mail it and got the run around (manager busy, manager will call you back, etc.) I finally called and got a manager - Andy, who said that they mailed my license back to me. I never got it. Meanwhile someone racked up $1500 on my credit card that I used at the hotel for incidentals.
The room itself was OK. The shower wasn't clean and had pink mold on the walls. The comforter was stained. The noise of slamming doors from other nearby rooms kept us up all night.
**Update - after posting my review, I received a call from management. They have promised that my comments have been heard and that they will be making improvements. I applaud Brandon and Andy for making the call and the effort to make things right with me.
Front desk staff and housekeepers are very friendly and do there best to ensure you have a nice relaxing stay. They offer free breakfast and wifi also have a small convenience store in lobby which is super convenient.
Overall I have no complaints about this hotel
The positives were:| 1) the room was clean|2) inexpensive for East Lansing|3) the breakfast was OK.||The negatives were:|1) We had to go to the office three times to get into the room. |2) It was raining and the potholes in the parking lot …
